About Andrew
Andrew Imms is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the IT and Automotive Logistics sectors, bringing together technical expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive innovation and growth.
Currently, Andrew is focused on expanding Imminently and its core offerings—ADA, MetaAcademy, and MetaRiviera—which leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver innovative solutions across various industries.
Previously, Andrew served as the Director of Technologies at the GBA Group of Companies, where he played a key role in applying technological advancements to enhance vehicle logistics operations and improve client satisfaction through strategic asset management.
Since September 2021, Andrew has contributed as a Non-Executive Director at EFEC, where he supports CognateUK, an initiative aimed at fostering business innovation and technical education between the UK and international partners. His entrepreneurial journey includes the founding of Imminently in 2019, leading pioneering projects such as sustainable blockchain solutions and a metaverse platform. Additionally, his earlier venture, Mibrid (established in 2016), addressed the need for affordable Electric Vehicles (EVs) by forging strategic partnerships with leading Chinese manufacturers and eventually integrating with GBA Technologies.
Andrew’s leadership at Merlin Sports Cars contributed to the revitalisation of the brand, introducing new models and strengthening its market presence. He also founded PrintBig3D.com in 2018, offering large-format 3D printing services that enable rapid prototyping and creative manufacturing solutions for a range of industries.
Andrew’s academic journey reflects his dedication to lifelong learning. He holds a BA in Politics, Economics, and Philosophy from the University of York and is currently pursuing an MSc in Business Management at the University of Lincoln. He is also qualified in Education and Training. Beyond his entrepreneurial efforts, Andrew lectures in International Business at Bishop Grosseteste University and is actively engaged with LORIC (Lincolnshire Open Research and Innovation Centre), where he supports data-driven projects that benefit social enterprises and SMEs.
